Don't forget Gizmo
Gizmo has now returned to Easterton and is one of
the horses available for lessons. With Sam and Giz we have
two reasonably advanced horses for lessons.
He has just carried the Novice team to victory
at the Brits 2010

Pardouche
arrived August 2009, a 17.1 Dutch Warmblood bay gelding. He
is very introverted by nature and has taken time to develop
trust. He is a delight to work but very anxious of the movement
of the vaulters on his back.
Picture of Steph doing an Individual on him at the June comp.
Hopefully over the winter he will become more used to the
vaulters and by next year be more able to be used as a competition
horse.

Rudi,
a Belgian Warmblood gelding, 12 years old, is already becoming
part of the family. Seen opposite with one of the Glasgow
mounted police squad trying his hand at vaulting at the National
Riding Festival at Lanark, Rudi is already in much demand
as a school horse
He rapidly progressed and carried the Novice
,then Intermediate team in his first year.
He made his debut as an International vaulting horse in Ermelo,
Holland May 1st 09 with Stephanie Hunter lunged by Kathryn
Jeffress then was chosen to represent GB with Kathryn and
Steph as part of the GB team at the European Champioinships
- what a result for a horse who has only vaulted one year.
Great result for Steph coming 18th out of 35.
In 2010 he was again chosen to carry Steph in the Junior
European Championships.

Fortuitous
( Sam), sponsored by Ross Offshore,
was purchased in early July 07 and is already a valuable member
of the gang. He came with 152 dressage points and a history
of being a great all rounder.
He is a 75% TB and 25% Clydesdale 9 year old gelding. He appears
to have taken the Clydesdale temperament and perhaps the hind
leg!! He is invaluable as a guinea pig for our UKCC courses.
He carried the Junior team to a podium win in
Holland in April 08.
Sadly he has developed Osteoarthritis of the
coffin joint and we await to see how this will progress.

Gleannmhor
Grenadier is a 15 year old 16.1 homebred P.B. Welsh
gelding. He has very smooth paces and is a great horse for
lunge lessons. Due to a serious foot injury as a 5 year old
he has spent many months off intermittently due to a very
thin and weakened sole but careful management generally keeps
him on track.
He is a great all rounder - ideal for UKCC courses and took
Kathryn to Blair in Aug 08 in the style jumping final.
2009 he carried the Pre-novice team to a win
against strong opposition at the first competition in Scotland
at SNEC.
He is a great favouirite of the younger vaulters
with his smaller size and smooth paces. He returned from 2009
British Championships with a Novice team second place under
his belt.

Gleannmhor
Pavanne, a 6 year old homebred Welsh P.B. gelding,
is the latest addition to the team and is already much loved
by all the vaulters due to his delightful temperament.
He has been very carefully brought on and we have high hopes
for him. He has now attended two competitions and took everything
in his stride. Still needs to learn to cope with vaulters
at the canter!! |
