Don't forget Gizmo
Gizmo has now returned to Easterton and is one of
the horses available for lessons. With Sam and Giz we have
two reasonably advanced horses for lessons.

Eagles Group Vaulting Horses
The horses at Easterton are now under licence and are available for riding lessons with Pat Taylor or lunge lessons with Ann Hunt
Rudi
is our latest addition. A Belgian Warmblood gelding, 11 years
old, he is already becoming part of the family. Seen opposite
with one of the Glasgow mounted police squad trying his hand
at vaulting at the National Riding Festival at Lanark, Rudi
s already in much demand as a school horse
He first carried our Novice team at an affiliated
competition at the farm and is already being used for school
groups.
He rapidly progressesd and carried the Intermediate
team at SNEC in March 09
He is making his debut as an International vaulting horse
in Ermelo, Holland May 1st 09 with Stephanie Hunter lunged
by Kathryn Jeffress - watch out for results and pics. |
 |
Fortuitous
( Sam), sponsored by Ross Offshore,
is the new addition to the Easterton horses. He was purchased
in early July 07 and is already a valuable member of the gang.
He came with 152 dressage points and a history of being a
great all rounder.
He is a 75% TB and 25% Clydesdale 9 year old gelding. He appears
to have taken the Clydesdale temperament and perhaps the hind
leg!! He is invaluable as a guinea pig for our UKCC courses.
He has taken quickly to vaulting and aslo enjoys
a jump. Pat Taylor took him to 4th place in the Scottish Farmer
Medium dressage finals 08.
He carried the Junior team to a podium win
in Holland in April 08. |

ILPH
Islay is the star horse of the Group. He is an 18
hands, black sports horse, acquired through the ILPH. He started
life as a police horse but had a horse version of a nervous
breakdown and ended up with the ILPH. He came to Liz Mackay
who has carefully nursed him back to sanity and last year
he won the best Individual horse at the British Championships.
He travelled to WEG at Aachen 2005 as reserve horse for the
British Squad.
He carries Individuals and the Eagles Intermediate
team.
Ali is now a seasoned International, competing
at the European Vaulting Championships in Hungary Aug 07 carrying
three Individuals and August 2008 again at the World Vaulting
Championships in Brno. |

Gleannmhor
Grenadier is a 13year old 16.2 homebred P.B. Welsh
gelding. He has very smooth paces and is a great horse for
lunge lessons. Due to a serious foot injury as a 5 year old
he has spent many months off intermittently due to a very
thin and weakened sole but careful management generally keeps
him on track.
He is a great all rounder - ideal for UKCC courses
and took Kathryn to Blair in Aug 08 in the style jumping final.
2009 he carried the Pre-novice team to a win
against strong opposition at the first competition in Scotland
at SNEC.
He is a great favouirite of the younger vaulters
with his smaller size and smooth paces.
